 PITHAGURI CHOCOLATE CAKE πŸŽ‚(Assamese)

      This is a cake  made with rice flour (called Pithaguri in Assamese) 

Pitha means rice

Guri means  ground to powder or flour 





So in a way Pithaguri means rice flour 

I have made the eggless version  with  some Semolina and milk cream  ( can use oil also as the  original recipe)

Here goes the recipe 

DRY INGREDIENTS _ Sieve and keep aside 

Rice flour          _             1 cup 

Semolina            _            5 _ 6 tbsp

Cocoa powder   _            2tbsp 

Baking powder  _            1 tsp

Baking soda      _             1/2tsp 

WET INGREDIENTS _ Mix together till creamy and light 


Oil/ malai           _         1/3 cup

Sugar                  _ 3/4 cup

Vanilla essence _ few drops 

OTHER INGREDIENTS 

Dry fruits , chocolate sauce  

Preheat oven to 180°Celsius for 10minutes 

Grease and line cake mould with brown paper 

Make the batter using the above wet and dry ingredients  

Pour the batter into cake mould 

Bake at for 35 _ 4o minutes  till a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean 

Remove from the oven and Cool the cake 

Unmould the cake and decorate as you wish ( can be eaten as  it is too)
